S. D. Scientist Tells Of Experiments

Royal Raymond Rife, San Diego scientist, yesterday told San Diego club Hi Hatters of his experiments in bacteriology for McGill University, Johns Hopkins, Mayo clinic, Heidelberg university and London university.

But Dr. Rife's language was "over the heads" of his listeners, and they learned only that he had done some highly involved research in tuberculosis, "polio," cancer and other cultures, and that he had invented and perfected the most powerful lens microscope in the world.

The 50-year-old optics expert admitted that physicists said he could not get magnification beyond the minuteness of the light wave length, but he did. His big instrument has a "working peak" of 31,000 magnifications, and can be stepped up to around 50,000 if needed.

After the luncheon and he said his assistant, Henry Siner, is arriving in London today with a portable microscope to instruct the doctors and technicians of the Imperial Chemicals of Great Britain and of the London University in technique of operating the instrument. A larger type of the Rife microscope is now being made by him for those British interests.

Next summer Dr. Rife will go to London to deliver it.
